Access Work Or School Error 80192EE7 On Windows 11 Home

Hi Microsoft Team,

I've run into an issue trying to access the Microsoft work account. The error code is 80192EE7, and the message says "Your account was not set up on this device because device management could not be enabled".

I've looked through some of the previous questions raised about this error but couldn't find a solution specifically for Windows 11 Home users.

Could you confirm if this issue is related to my laptop running on Windows 11 Home or if something my employer’s organisation can resolve through Microsoft Azure?

Reinstalling the operating system isn’t really an option for me, so I’d really appreciate it if you could suggest a solution that doesn’t involve doing that.

Thanks in advance for you help!

Best regards,

Alex Petrov

Hello alpet_dev,   Welcome to the Microsoft Community. Error code 80192EE7 usually indicates an issue when trying to manage a device through Microsoft Intune or other Mobile Device Management (MDM) services. This could indeed be related to your use of the Windows 11 Home edition, as it lacks some enterprise management and security features compared to the Pro and Enterprise editions.

You can check the following settings:

Check Azure AD and Intune settings:

    • Confirm if your account is joined to Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
    • Verify if your device needs to be managed through Intune and if your organization requires the device to comply with specific policies. Go to "Settings" > "Network & Internet" > "Status," then click "Network reset."

Check Group Policy and Local Policy:

    • If your device was previously domain-joined or configured for enterprise use, you might need to check local policy settings.

    Contact your IT support:

    • Inform your employer's IT department. They may need to check the Azure AD and Intune configurations or provide special configurations for your device.

    Try manually joining Azure AD:

    • Sometimes, manually joining the device to Azure AD instead of using the automatic enrollment process can help. This can be done via "Settings" > "Accounts" > "Access work or school" > "Connect."

For more help with Azure, I recommend visiting Microsoft Learn for further discussion. The enterprise features of Azure are beyond the support scope of the Microsoft Community, but Microsoft Learn has dedicated sections for support where users and support specialists can provide further assistance.

Thank you for your understanding and support, and I hope your issue gets resolved smoothly!
