Hi Umm Bliem ,

Thanks for visiting Microsoft Community.

I understand that you can't find the Copilot button in the toolbar. Please follow the suggestions below:

First, check if you can find the Copilot button under File-Options-Customize Ribbon-Main Tabs-Home-Assistance. If you find it, you can add it to your current tab.

If the above step doesn't locate the tab, follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the Office application, then try again to find the button through the steps above.

Click the link below:

In the pop-up window, you will see the message "Do we agree to run this troubleshooter to uninstall Microsoft 365 or Office?" Select "Yes." A PowerShell window will pop up and begin uninstalling Office, which will complete quickly.

Log in at account.microsoft.com/services, go to your subscription or licenses, and click the "Install Microsoft 365/Office apps" button in the top right corner. This will download an online installer. Run the installer, ensure a stable internet connection, and wait for the installation to complete.

If you encounter any issues during the process, feel free to reply. You can share specific screenshots of the issue in your reply, which will help in locating the problem.

Best Regards,

Jonathan Z - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist

Which version of Word are you using?

File > Account > About Word

Not all Office installations include Copilot.

In addition, if you are using Microsoft 365 Family as one of the family members rather than the primary subscriber, it is currently not available.

Questions about using Copilot are best asked in the Q&A Forum set up for that.

    Hi, Jonathan

It seems that uninstalling and reinstalling solved the problem. I will share it with you next time the issue occurs.

Thank you, Charles. I was able to use Copilot before, but I suddenly can't find it in the button list anymore.

I will follow your suggestion and ask a question in the Q&A Forum.
