Error message - Couldn't resolve user

Hi there,

When attempting to share a file in SharePoint online to an internal shared email address within my company, I am receiving this message...

"Couldn't resolve user"

I am not sharing externally on this occasion, this email address is within our domain. Can you please advise what the issue may be?

I understand your concern and I would like to convey that I have tested the behavior at my end, where I am able to share the content in the SharePoint Online site with the internal users without any issue.

Since you the email address used to share is the correct and internal users, I would like to suggest you access the SharePoint Online site in the InPrivate or Incognito window and check the outcome:

Open the browser such as Google Chrome> Click on the three dots at the top right> Click on the New Incognito window> Access the SharePoint Online site where the content need to be shared> Right-click on the File> Share> Enter the email address of the internal users and see the outcome.

If the same problem persists, we are sorry and would like to request you share the following information which will help us to better understand and guide you further:

1. Does the problem happens when you try to share the content with the specific internal user or any internal user?
2. Do other users are able to share the content with the same internal user from their end?
3. Are you able to share the content to the user from your OneDrive for Business?
4. Are you able to send an email to the internal user in the question?
