    Hi Judy Ohannesian,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I completely understand how you feel, but I apologize for might not be able to provide a direct and effective answer in my initial response, as I lacked sufficient understanding of your issue. To narrow down the troubleshooting scope, I will ask you a few questions.

First, I need to confirm what versions of Excel you are using? This is important because if we find that the issue is due to compatibility problems brought by an Excel update patch, I need to report this information to the development team.

Moreover, when you mentioned that the Recommended Charts area is not visible, do you mean that the Recommended Charts button is not visible, or does a blank window appear when you click this button?

Lastly, I also want to know if this issue occurs only in a single workbook. If you create a new workbook file, does this problem recur?

Please share more context and complete screenshots with me. Based on the update information you share, I will provide a targeted troubleshooting solution in my next response, and I look forward to your reply!

    Best Regards,
