Hyperlinks do not work in Planner

I need to attach hyperlinks in tasks created in MS Planner. Links are external - mostly to Salesforce instance.

I have tried to use Attachment of type "A Link to URL" - they are created and there - but there is no way I can follow that link, neither by clicking the link in the Task details window, nor in the general view when that link is selected to "Show on card".

I have tried to Allow pop-ups and redirects, restart Edge and computer - NOTHING.

It is exactly the same (or even worse) when opened from Teams rather then Edge browser.

What is going on? What is the purpose of having an attachment of type "URL" if I cannot click it?

NOTE: when opened from MS Planner on iPadOS - all works perfectly!

Please help!

Best Regards,

RAF

Thank you very much Sophia for your help!

    Much appreciated!

I will try to report an issue. I'm a bit surprised as ability to link to outside information from task is a key, and personally I would think most of the people needs it, Why it went through the testing? And why nobody else reported it then?

Also - as per testing with "Show on Card" - that doesn't work for me neither.

Once selected I can see an icon on the card, but when I press it it takes me to the the Task details form - there is no way I can follow a link for there (tried pressing almost all pixels of it) and combinations with Alt, Ctrl, Shift ....

Even the link below the title (Project in the example below) - when you hover it with the mouse it behaves as link -when you click it nothing happens :(.

By the way - the small icon with a clickable link below the Task Name is what I need. And it should allow to have more then one link selected to show on the Card like that. The big picture is something I cannot imagine why I would need it.

So yes - I believe it is a bug - link should be link. Just - if this is not my problem only - I cannot believe it went through testing like that ...

    Best Regards,

    RAF

    Dear Rafal Walecki1,

    Thank you for reaching out.

First of all, I would like to inform you that as a community moderator, we are only able to convey information regarding our tests and research. We do not have developer or back-end permissions and resources.

According to my test, yes, I experienced the exact same behavior as you. However, when I tried it in Planner on my iPad, it worked without any issues. We believe this is a bug or an issue on the back-end side. You may provide feedback through the feedback portal so the developer team can investigate this issue further.

    Or test

Personally, I feel this function should be improved. Please provide your feedback to help improve Microsoft Planner.

Thank you for your time and patience, we hope you have a great day!

    Kind regards,

    Community Moderator | Sophia
