I see the question of Microsoft updates reducing memory has been asked before........From my point of view my modest laptop was fine for me with 23gb spare for ages. I noticed by checking before and after the effect that updates have on memory. After some research I was able to remove (some) of the updates....From my point of view I don't want updates because my Microsoft will update till it stops working.......Just what the planet needs.....current memory 13 gb

Win needs at least 10% of HD size as free space to function correctly.

If you are saying the HD is 59Gb total size then win 10 or win11 is never going to function correctly, if at all

Yes I think I understand. With 59 gb does mean that my machine needs at least 6 ish gb. Many thanks for replying.

Memory and drive space are two seperate/unconnected items

File explorer > This PC shows xxgb free of xxgb for C:\ this is the drive space

If the HD is 250gb win needs at least 25gb free space (10% of HD size) to function correctly
