MS Licences

Hi all. I have had a number of licences bought through a CSP for our company. We are winding this company up but wish to retain access to our emails at least, if not our sharepoint site as well. Is there a way of taking out a privately paid licence for our current domain and leave our CSP, retaining access to our emails and ideally SharePoint too

    Dear SueM3MP,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

If I understand your query correctly, you want to end up using license purchased through CSP and purchasing licenses directly from Microsoft, then manage yourself and continue to access your services. If I misunderstand you, please feel free to correct me.

If this is your scenario, yes, it is possible to retain access to your emails and SharePoint even after winding up your company and leaving your CSP. Therefore, to do this first you need to purchase a new subscription for Microsoft 365 or Office 365 directly from Microsoft through your organization Microsoft 365 admin center page. You can refer to the available plans Compare Microsoft 365 Business Plans and Pricing | Microsoft 365

Once you have purchased the subscription, you can migrate your email and SharePoint data to the new subscription. This means that, you can remove the licenses from the mailboxes that purchased through CSP and assign newly purchases license through direct Microsoft. This will allow you to retain access to your emails and SharePoint data. Please note that you will need to ensure that you have the necessary permissions to purchase, access and move your subscriptions.

Note: Make sure that you purchase and assign the same licenses that you use with a CSP or higher plan to prevent data loss.

If you have any other question or I have got you wrong, please feel free to let me know.

Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day.

    Sincerely,
