My computer screen froze and a Microsoft page filled the screen and said my computer was infected with a virus. I called the number given (832-449-6538) and the man on the other end and told me that our computer was hacked by Russians and or Chinese and that they had our banking information. Is this true? He was very aggressive and made me uncomfortable and hung up on me when I said I preferred to call Microsoft to speak with someone else.

Your system is infected with malware, presumable you didnt have a paid for main brand AV/Security? the phone number was that of a scammer, not MS

All the main brand AV's have a free online scanner, Norton/McAfee/BitDefender etc
