I bought a new subscription with my new laptop however (personal) already had a family subscription (which is due to renew on 1 Jan 2025). Do you know if it possible to use the cost of the second subscription (which has it's own product code etc). To pay for my next renewal?

    Hi Victoria Simpson1,

    Thanks for visiting Microsoft Community.

Are you the owner of a Microsoft 365 Family subscription? Was your personal subscription redemption code included with a device? The features and prices of Family and Personal subscriptions are different. For example, when switching subscriptions, the days of a Personal subscription will be converted to Family subscription days at a certain ratio. Therefore, it may not be possible to use your Personal subscription redemption code to offset the cost of a Family subscription. However, I recommend contacting our online chat support directly via the specific steps in this thread to evaluate whether your situation can be converted to a certain number of Family subscription days at the time of redemption.

I hope your issue gets resolved.

    Best Regards,
