I am running OneNote on my Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, but the ink to text option does not appear in the ribbon.

I am seeing conflicting information online, so can someone confirm whether it should be available and if it how to enable it?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Benjamin Ratcliffe,

Greetings. Thank you for posting the thread to our community.

I understand your concern, it seems you cannot find the Ink to text feature in OneNote for Android. For the situation you’ve encountered, I do understand the inconvenience caused and feel very sorry about it.

As far as I know, currently, I’m afraid and sorry to say the Ink to text feature is only available in OneNote for Windows, it is not available in OneNote for mobile (Android/iOS), OneNote for the web and OneNote for Mac. Here are the related official support articles as reference for you: Ink to text - Microsoft Support, Take handwritten notes in OneNote - Microsoft Support.

Personally, I’m totally agree about the convenience of having the Ink to text feature in OneNote for Android, it is definitely a good addition to the current feature of OneNote for Android, and other users have the same feedback about it as well. Due to this situation, I sincerely recommend you go to Feedback community to vote this similar feedback: Handwriting to text · Community or you can post your own feedback and requirement in the Feedback community: OneNote · Community. Our product team is in charge of the site, and they constantly check customer reviews and feedback, The higher votes, the more attention the related team will pay on. Please accept my apologies that as moderators in the community, we are not supported for the product design and have limited resources for the advanced info for Microsoft products. To help you send your feedback to the related development team, we have redirected you to the correct path.
