Microsoft 365 Personal?

My Microsoft 365 Personal was auto renewed today and upgraded without my request for an upgrade? Is it possible to downgrade it back to the same subscription I've been purchasing for the past several years. I do not want AI!

Because I was going to be out of the country when my subscription renewal came due, Geek Squad set up Auto Renewal for me.

I WILL NEVER ALLOW AUTO RENEWAL AGAIN IF THIS IS WHAT MICROSOFT DOES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS WITHOUT NOTIFICATION OR ASKING THE CUSTOMER TO AGREE BEFORE THE CHARGE IS INITIATED!

Please advise why and how this can be changed? I have not yet initiated the registration etc.

Thank you for your prompt response.

No, I have not installed the renewal yet! You advise that my billing charge is approx $88. I’m confused as the emailed auto renewal invoice indicated $115 + taxes. Earlier today, I’d contacted Geek Squad as they were the ones who’d set up auto renewal because I would be out of the country at time of subscription expiry. They also found the email invoice unclear and didn’t know how to proceed. They suggested I go to the Microsoft forum for clarification.

    Thank you for your reply.

An auto renew of a sub does not upgrade anything.

The user has to specifically Purchase install o365 Family and link it to their MS account.

Had you unistalled the pre-installed o365 Family Trial version?

Checked your MS Account, all sections to see what you have? https://office.com/myaccount

o365 retail does not include CoPilot, win11 Pro does
