Why do I need MICROSOFT

Anonymous

I am a senior with an ACER laptop. I have Hotmail and an Apple cell phone. I have been paying $106 for the past 3 year at least. Do I need that? Why do I need Microsoft (no offense) but I can't afford something I don't need.

Thanks for your response.

Linda

    Hi Linda,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

We do understand your confusion and concern that unknown ongoing billing does cause you loss and trouble. But please don't worry, Microsoft will help to solve it.

Some subscriptions automatically renew when they expire, and if you've previously subscribed to certain services or turned on a trial of some kind and forgot to cancel it, it may result in a chargeback.

Community Support doesn't have the authority to handle these inquiries or cancel subscriptions directly. We recommend that you contact Microsoft's billing department, who will have dedicated support staff to help you inquire about the reason for your subscription as well as get help with canceling your renewal.

You can contact Microsoft's billing department in the following ways:

    Contact Microsoft Support.

    1. Visit this website: Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. Type Contact in the search box.
    3. Now click Get help, and Select Contact Support or sign in to contact support below.
    4. Go to the Products and services tab, and choose Other Products category.
    5. On the Category tab, choose Billing and Account Profile questions.
    6. Go to Confirm.
    7. You can now choose the option of Chat with a support agent on your web browser.

The following images indicate in detail the steps to contact them:

Please Note*: The Chat support team only works at certain work times, (Monday to Friday: 9am to 6pm. Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)so if the last window says you are not available, try to open it again the next day.* If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. That way, they can call you and help you.

Thank you for your patience in reading, we hope this information has been helpful to you.

    Best regards,

Ian - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
