Sharepoint: Can you add custom domain?

Question

I want to know if it’s possible if you can connect a custom domain though a hosting provider, like GoDaddy or Namescheap though a CNAME for my Sharepoint site? Instead of the domain ending with sharepoint.com, or something like that. Can it end with my own domain?

Like

yourdomain.com, or sub.yourdomain.com

Please let me know.

Currently, SharePoint Online does not support custom domains in the way you’ve described (e.g., replacing the “sharepoint.com” domain entirely). SharePoint Online site URLs are fixed to use the *.sharepoint.com domain assigned to your Microsoft 365 tenant.

For example, you can use your custom domain for things like email addresses (e.g., ******@yourdomain.com) and you can set up custom branding on your SharePoint site, but the actual site URL will remain on the "sharepoint.com" domain.
