Currently, SharePoint Online does not support custom domains in the way you’ve described (e.g., replacing the “sharepoint.com” domain entirely). SharePoint Online site URLs are fixed to use the *.sharepoint.com domain assigned to your Microsoft 365 tenant.
However, you can configure a custom domain to something like yourdomain.sharepoint.com. This feature is useful for aligning the domain with your brand or organization’s identity.
