Copilot Studio Agent - Error "ContentValidationError"

Dear community

I developed an agent in Copilot Studio. This agent uses SharePoint as a knowledge source, which serves as the knowledge base for a generative answers node within its main topic. However, when performing automated tests on my agent using Power Automate and HTTP calls, I can retrieve all conversational aspects, such as messages sent from a message node, except for answers from the generative answer node that is using SharePoint. In that case the agent replies the following: An error has occured. Error code: ContentValidationError. When tested within Copilot Studio, this error does not occur. However, the Copilot Studio environment and in particular the testing chat box provided there seems not suitable for automated testing, that is why I resort to Power Automate instead.

Can someone provide me insights on what went wrong concerning the ContentValidationError and how to fix this?

All help is greatly appreciated,

Kind regards,

Paulien Huyzentruyt

    Hi, PHuyz

Thanks for posting in the community.

When using Power Automate and HTTP calls for automated testing, you may encounter a "ContentValidationError" error, which is usually caused by content validation failure in the generative answer node.

Since this error may be related to content validation for SharePoint as a knowledge source. You can try the following steps to resolve this issue:

    • Check SharePoint content: Make sure that the content in SharePoint meets the validation standards of Copilot Studio. The content format or structure may need to be adjusted.
    • Update Power Automate flow: Make sure your Power Automate flow is configured correctly and all steps meet the requirements of Copilot Studio.

In addition, since your question involves Power Automate and other content, I hope I can help you solve your problem, but your problem seems to require more professional support. I suggest that you also try to seek help on Power Platform Community, where there are more experts in related fields who can provide you with better solutions.
