M365 Macos multiple subscriptions

Hi,

I use two M365 on the same computer, as I work for two companies. Some files are from company X and some for Y. I have two Onedrive folders, but cannot control which license is used when editing the files.

Once again, the whole thing is messed up. The Office apps don't know which license to use for upload, if it happens to be the other one automatic save is not available.

If I duplicate it the issue is solved for a few minutes, but very soon the error comes again, the app wants to upload the file with the wrong username.

AADSTS50020: User account '******@XXX.hu' from identity provider 'https://sts.windows.net/3*************7/' does not exist in tenant 'YYYYY.' and cannot access the application 'd*************c'(Microsoft Office) in that tenant.

I know that very well. The file is opened from the Y onedrive folder, so it should be handled by the Y license.

    Dear Német Zoltán,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with Microsoft 365 multiple subscriptions on MacOS. I deeply understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it.

We appreciate your understanding that sometimes the initial response may not resolve the problem immediately. However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. So, for further troubleshooting, could you please provide the information below:

    1. The moment you encounter this error, could you please let me know if you are using the correct Microsoft 365 account for the specific OneDrive folder?
    2. May I know if the issue occurs when you use different browser profiles for each Microsoft 365 account to access OneDrive via a web browser and the use "Open from Desktop" option?
    3. Could you please provide me with the specific OS version you are using?
    4. Could you please provide me the specific Office app version you are using? About Office: What version of Office am I using? - Microsoft Support. So that I can check for any bugs from my end.

Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

Ralph Chawatama | Microsoft Community Moderator
