While i try to use copilot in powerpoint making presentation from a file, a pdf, just few tables, the file picking window will just never show up, I had unsubscribed copilot once before because of this,

I thought this should have been fixed after a while, so I resubscribed it again like less than an hour ago, now i feel like being scammed, The software is of the latest version, tried repair, the device is restarted, so please give some advice that actually do something.

Thanks much.

    Hello, Rheia Leung.

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

    According to your description, I understand that you create presentation from file, file picking window never shows up  . Please don't worry, I will do everything I can to help you.

    I would like to confirm more specific information with you so that I can more accurately determine the problem you are encountering and better assist you:

    • Check the products under your account:

     Open Word > "File" in the top left corner > "Account" in the bottom left corner> share the screenshot of the product information displayed on the right with me  so that I can help you more specifically

    • You can share a screenshot of it with me so I can get a more visual idea of what you're currently experiencing.

    Once I have obtained more information about the above, I will be able to provide you with more targeted assistance. Before replying, based on the issue you mentioned, it is recommended that you can try the following steps:

    1-> Disable Add-ins:

    Although you've tried opening Word in Safe Mode, it might be helpful to manually disable add-ins to see if any specific add-in is causing the delay.

            File>    options  >   Add-ins  >    OM Add-ins  >   GO   >  Uncheck all options

    2-> Reset Office:

    1. Press Windows + R keys to open the Run box, copy and paste the following path, back up all folders in this path, and then delete them. %localappdata%/Microsoft/OneAuth %localappdata%/Microsoft/IdentityCache
    2. Press Windows + R, type regedit, click OK, open the registry, find the next registry subkey, right-click Identity and delete it. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity

    Disclaimer: Changing registry or workgroup subkeys can help resolve some issues, but serious problems can occur if you edit the registry incorrectly. So, be sure to follow these steps carefully.

    Feel free to share updates with me on how things are progressing after you've completed the aforementioned steps. Should you have any questions or require clarification, do not hesitate to reach out to me. I‘d like to do my utmost to assist you.

    Best Regards,

    Hannah.Z- MSFT |Microsoft Community Support Specialist
