Notifications on Android MSDefender

I have MSDefender installed on my Android Phone, Windows 11 Home Laptop and my iOS 18.1.2 tablet.

I have been forced to mute notifications on my phone due to receiving constant notifications every 15 minutes. The notifications seem to be telling me no threats have been found.

I would like to keep all my devices linked, however, having the application muted on my phone seems counter productive.

They are all updated to the latest versions.

Any idea why this is happening. I can’t find any settings to change anything.

    Hello, Craig Wolfenden

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I realize that you have encountered a problem with keep getting notifications from Microsoft Defender on Android. I understand how you feel.

Here are some steps you can try:

1 -> Change the Defender notification settings.

    • In the Defender app on your Android phone, click on your avatar and select Settings.
    • In the settings, click on Notifications > Go to Settings > Notification Categories.
    • If you see multiple options in the categories, try disabling one option at a time and wait for a while to see if you still receive notifications.

2 -> Uninstall and reinstall the Defender app from Google Play.

It's possible that the application itself is corrupted.

Additionally, I would like to know the specific content of your notifications. Please attach a screenshot of it.

Please understand that our initial response may not always solve the problem immediately. Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.

    Best wishes,
