I am creating AVD for some users. Setting up:
I would like to know if am signed up with M365 business basic and my users are already registered in Azure AD, then how do I setup the DC for those users? Do I need to delete these Azure AD accounts and create them in the DC to sync back to the AAD?
Also, I am already using a registered custom domain for the M365, abc.com. Can we use same for the custom domain for AVD? Adding the verification for that custom domain Name server wont mess up things?

Think you got most of it covered. One thing though, say I have userA registered directly in Azure AD. Do we need to delete it and create userA in DC, then sync back?

Is this with AD Connect and VPN to on-premises DC? If so, have a read here about what happens with existing users:

Yes indeed, I created a DC vm.
As you said previously, we need Premium plans for AAD and for the moment I have a free trial subscription that am testing the AVD with.
I upgraded it to pay as you go but still cannot find a way to do a trial for the AAD.
Any advice on this one?

Can you help me understand when you say trial for AAD what help you exactly need . Is it more around enabling the feature or enabling for free trial?

I just finished chatting with Microsoft Azure support and they gave the answer.
Yes, I had trouble enabling the Azure AD P1/P2 free trial.
It turns out that my user email account was already part of another tenant as guest.
So, I was using this same user account to create a free trial and it looks as if we cannot as I was being flagged as guest user in my own new tenant!
Not sure I have the answer to all your questions but note a few things:
You need M365 Business Premium to be licensed for AVD
Normally AVD needs old-style domain-joined VMS. This can be Azure AD Domain Services (essentially a read-only DC) or on-premises DC via VPN.
If you are using AD Connect then yes your AVD users will need to be logged into the DC not cloud-only users.
However there is a new option in preview for AVD without a DC but Azure AD joined. In this case the DC requirement is removed.
