Error code: AADSTS5000225 Error message: AADSTS5000225: This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity. To learn more about tenant lifecycle policies, see https://aka.ms/TenantLifecycle Trace ID: 989cbb71-0d0d-4dad-a9fc-cae747e0ee00 Correlation ID: 0cc8d6ef-5df8-4a7f-a768-8214a38178f5 Timestamp: 2025-06-21 23:17:13Z

Extremely frustrating. Getting the above error everytime I try to sign into Azure. The only other time I have used Azure was for some learn.microsoft.com modules about 2 weeks ago. And even then I used the Sandbox. I successfully signed up for an Azure subscription but I cannot log in. I get the above error if I try to login to Azure help and create a question/ticket too. I am posting here because I cannot ask for help anywhere else regarding azure without getting this error. I tried the automated support number and it never routes me to a human being. It just keeps saying it cant help. How do I fix this? My account is ******@gmail.com

I called Microsoft at +1 855 270 0615. Every option is saying help is only online and I need to sign into help.microsoft.com; which I cannot log into. I think I am done trying to get help with this. I have tried for hours to speak with a human being for support and it is impossible. This is a waste of time. I will do some AWS tutorials instead and skip anymore Azure content until the sandbox is fixed.

Your Azure tenant was auto blocked due to inactivity with error AADSTS5000225. If it is been less than 20 days you can contact Microsoft support through phone to request reactivation and if it is over 20 days the tenant is permanently deleted then you will need to create a new Azure account.

    Best regards,

    Harry

I dont mean to be argumentative but I already attempted using that page. I have signed in and see no link for "Get Support or Help & Support". Control-F'd both of those phrases and nothing. There's only the below on the top menu. So far it's been difficult to get ANY assistance on this issue. I havent been able to contact Microsoft through phone or even an AI chat bot to get a response.

Hello Peter! Thank you so much for reaching out, I am Harvie an Independent Advisor, and I am glad to assist you today with this issue.

You are getting AADSTS5000225 because your Azure tenant was automatically deactivated due to inactivity and this happens even if you just used the learn sandbox. To fix it you will need to contact Microsoft support directly to reactivate the tenant.

Since the portal blocks you try to go directly to support.microsoft.com and sign in then in the top menu choose Get Support or Help & Support. Explain the error and ask for tenant reactivation.

    Best regards,

    Harry
