Windows 11 and the environment/climate protection?

Somehow I find Microsoft's strategy questionable when you are currently excluded fast reliable hardware from the new Windows 11 and if you want to have a current secure operating system, you can throw the current available hardware in the trash.

My hardware is from 2013/2014 and is currently still able to enjoy the latest games in high resolution. My CPU - Intel Xeon E3-1230V3 with an Intel Z87 chipset is very secure and yet my system should not be usable on missing TPM 2.0?

to me it sounds like a huge april joke

Same here - same proc, mb, 32Gb, 8Gb-1070, Wifi 6 with bluetooth 5+ card and even an Nvme ssd :) - but no 11 - bad proc and no tpm (I have the slot, but it's empty) - all from 2012 and working well.

Consider that you can just as well keep using Windows 10, which is still supported and updated for several more years to come. By the time they stop supplying security updates, your computer will be 13 years old. That's way longer than Windows 7 even got updates.

And of course, millions of people still use it even though it doesn't get updates. Although I wouldn't recommend it.
