Excel Insert-> Pictures-> Place in cell is greyed out

I have an Excel workbook wherein the Insert-> Pictures-> Place in cell is greyed out. What could cause this?

It is my own workbook, created by selecting a blank workbook. I have created a table, which I have began populating, and it won't let me insert an image into my table. I've done nothing to protect the file.

If I open a new workbook, the section I'm trying to use is still greyed out?

I am using Microsoft 365 Apps for Business desktop application.

I saw that you said you have 365 for business, but that seems to have disappeared from your reply, at least for the moment. Don't know what's going on. ?????

However, I know that this feature is only available in the latest version and 365. I don't know if this would be different in your particular version. Reply back with the specific version and build (File>Account>About Excel) and hopefully someone else will pick up on this with some specific information about whether that feature is available in that version and build.

I can only duplicate your results in this scenario. Make sure that the cursor is not active in the cell. Select the cell with just one click. If you double click, the cursor is inserted in the cell and many operations are not available until the cursor has been removed by selecting Enter or Escape (Esc).
