Launch Android Emulator in Visual Studio 2022 Community without Administrator Password.

Question

Hello, We have an User in our Company that uses Visual Studio 2022 Community. In the Visual Studio he needs to launch the Android Emulator and every time he wants to launch the Android Emulator, the system asks him for administration rights. How can i enable standard users to launch the emulator without administration rights? the user need it multiple times a day and its very frustrating as he always has to ask the IT Department for the Administrator Password. Thanks in Advance for your help.

• Are you using Windows or macOS? (Some emulator features differ by OS)
• Did you install the “Mobile development with .NET” workload via the Visual Studio Installer?
• Can you see the Android SDK Manager in the Tools menu?
• Have you created an emulator using the Android Device Manager?
• Have you tried launching the emulator from Android Studio instead?

Hello

The User is using Windows 11, yes everything installed via Visual Installer.

The User can klick direct at the menu bar to launch Android Emulator, then the administrator pw is needed.

No the user only uses visual studio for all his projects.
