Embeddable file preview opens SharePoint PDF file on second page

Hello,

We use embeddable file preview for PDF SharePoint files. It's possible to get preview link by Graph API or copy embed code for a file from SharePoint library, it looks like this:

https://example.sharepoint.com/sites/example/_layouts/15/embed.aspx?UniqueId=c7308393-1b2e-4cdd-92db-5c0b892289dc

By some reason some PDF files are opening on the second page, some files on the third page, etc. It's not related to PDF file properties - files are opening on the first page in any other viewer. Looks like there is issue in embed SharePoint viewer.

Will it be fixed? May be you could suggest some workaround to open file on the first page.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on our forum, let me help you with this.

    To resolve this issue,

Here are some possible solutions to ensure the PDF opens on the first page in the SharePoint embeddable file preview:

At first, starts with modifying the embed link by appending #page=1 to ensure the PDF opens on the first page,

and then, clear your browser cache and reload the page, as cached data may affect the viewer.

    After the above-mentioned steps,

Try opening the file in different browsers to determine if the issue is browser specific.

Then you need to re-upload the PDF, as this may reset any unintended settings affecting the preview.

Also, do try using OneDrive’s embed viewer instead of SharePoint’s, if possible, to see if it helps in resolving the issue.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately these suggestions don't work.

This how embed code looks like(screenshot from SharePoint document library):

This link to embed.aspx doesn't support #page=1. Issue is reproduced for any multipage PDF file for different users. You can easy reproduce it too if try to open pdf file by embed.aspx page.
