I want to move one existing content type from on premisis (2013) to sharepoint online using pnp powershell
please share me steps to do so in order. Thank you.

We could not move one content type from on premisis (2013) to sharepoint online using pnp powershell.

We suggest you migrate the content type via SPMT, migrate entire site contains the content type.

Thank you for the response.
If it is not one content type , how we can move all available content type with its GUID preserving from on premise to online. Please suggest. At the destination same GUID should be preserved.

Will SPMT tool preserve same GUID in the online as on premises for the migrated content types?

If it is possible with PNP PowerShell, Please share me steps to copy all content types from on premises to online by preserving GUIDs, Right now we are thinking to use pnp PowerShell only. Please help.

There is no direct way to just migrate all content types from on premise to online, it's necessary to migrate related site which includes those content types.

And per my test, the SPMT tool will retain the same online GUID as the on premise one for the migrated content type:

There is no pnp powershell for migration, if you want to use powershell to migrate, it's necessary to Import-Module Microsoft.SharePoint.MigrationTool.PowerShell, and the PowerShell cmdlets provide the same functionalities as the SharePoint Migration Tool, so we suggest you use SPMT directly rather than powershell, for more information, please refer to:

is it preserves for child content types and further child content types also?

Are you suggesting that we can not use pnp powershell to migrate content type from on premises to online? even we does not will it not be preserver content type guids?

can u please share me MS Link saying it preserves guid of content type supporting SMPT tool?
and also link u have shared May I know on which scenario I use it for CT type? I mean can u please share me high-level steps to migrate content types from on premisis to online using powershell?

on the other hand Does SMPT tool does not support online to online? Please confirm. because I see there is no option to enter online site url on the source.

Yes, it preserves for child content types and further child content types also, note, when we migrate the site, make sure related content types are used in document library or list, only used content type will be migrated to SharePoint online.

There is no related MS link mentioning this and no available high-level steps, currently only the official article referred this, according to my test, the guid of the content type will remain after the migration.

SPMT does not support online to online, please use Mover tool to migrate from another Cloud providers:
