Azure VPN Client on Mac uses almost 100% CPU

Hello,
I started using Azure VPN Client on my Mac and it's constantly using almost 100% CPU even if it's disconnected. So the MacBook Pro fans are at full throttle all the time.
Is it a bug and could this be fixed, please?
If you need more information about this, just let me know.

I understand that the Azure VPN Client usage on your MAC is constantly leading it to be at 100% CPU almost. Can you provide me more details regarding this issue such as the Azure VPN client version, MAC OS version etc.,?
If you are not on the latest version for either of them, can you update the same and see if this happens? Thank you!

I have a MacBook Pro (Mid 2015) and these versions of software:
Azure VPN Client: 1.8
MacOS: BigSur 11.5.2Mac says my OS is up-to-date and no new update for the VPN client is suggested by App Store.

Martin Balzer 1 Reputation point2021-09-09T15:56:46.087+00:00 I have this same issue. I have the latest edition of Mac OS 11.5.1 and the latest version of the Azure VPN client 1.8 (2.0.6)
IThe VPN client operates normally if I close and restart the app. After a while (sometimes minutes, sometimes hours) the app takes almost 100% of the CPU

- Logs:
Application logs can be found from Settings -> Show Logs Directory - Sample Process/Spindump for client App using steps below:-
Launch Activity Monitor -> Select “Azure VPN Client” process -> From drop down, select “Sample Process”/ “Spindump” as shown below. You may need to enter your admin username and password.
After the process is complete a new window opens up to display the diagnostic. Click the "Save..." button in the upper right and save the file to your desktop.
Spindump creates a report for unresponsive apps that were terminated using force quit.
Sample process shows details of process like: path, load address, identifier, version, date and time, launch time etc. Also, it shows details of the process that are running in the background of the system. Both are helpful in debugging app hang issues.Please send these details in an email to AzCommunity [at] microsoft dot com with subject: "ATTN: Sai Kishor". Please reply to this comment once you send the email.Thank you!
