    Hi R. gord_836,

    Nice to meet you!

We can see that you've added a new section of tasks to your Excel Gantt chart template, but the tasks aren't appearing on the timeline as expected.

Let’s try a few steps to help bring those tasks onto the timeline:

Step 1: Confirm Start and End Dates

Ensure each new task has valid Start and End dates (or a Duration). If any of these are missing or incorrectly formatted, the chart won’t know where to place the task.

Step 2: Check the Timeline Range

It’s possible the new tasks fall outside the visible date range of the chart. Try scrolling horizontally or adjusting the timeline axis to include the new dates.

Step 3: Update Chart Data Source

If you're using a pre-built Excel template, the chart may be referencing a fixed data range.

    • Right-click the chart and choose Select Data
    • Ensure the new task rows are included in the data series for both start dates and durations

    Step 4: Review Conditional Formatting

Some Gantt templates use conditional formatting to display bars.

    • Go to Home > Conditional Formatting > Manage Rules
    • Check that the rules apply to the full range, including your new tasks

If the issue persists, feel free to share which template you're using or a screenshot of your setup, and we’ll be happy to provide more tailored guidance.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to assisting you further.

    Best Regards,
