Thanks for the response. Using a web proxy is not an option. In fact, Web content filtering is being implemented to replace an existing web proxy solution. I will explore the idea of raising a case. Cheers.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I enabled Application guard for Edge and configured the network boundaries using EP policies in Intune. The feature works flawlessly and all un-trusted URLs open in Application guard sessions as intended.
However, URLs that should block via Web content Filtering categories in Defender, are also being allowed to open in Application Guard session. If I disable Application guard for edge, the URLs get blocked again.
It appears that the all the Web content filtering rules are being bypassed and everything is being whitelisted because of Application guard for Edge.
Is there a way around?

@Rahul Jindal [MVP] , Based on my research, I find this seems to be a design behavior. There is a workaround provided in the following link. We can see if it can help on our situation:
https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-defender-for-endpoint/application-guard-in-edge-and-web-filtering/m-p/1513041
However, if we want to know more. we can contact Microsoft Defender for Endpoint support to get more help:

Thanks for the understanding and have a nice day!
