OLE Project Error

I have Microsoft Project 2024 installed onto my machine. When I click on 'Print' the below error pops up, and keeps popping back up regardless of whether I click yes or no.

"You are about to activate an OLE object that may contain viruses or may otherwise be harmful to your computer. You may want to verify that this object comes from a trustworthy source before you continue. Do you want to continue?"

    Hi Susmita,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Based on my research, I have some workaround options for this case.

Here are a few things you can try:

    1. Remove or Replace the Images:
      • Users have reported that removing the images from the header stops the error from appearing.
      • If the images are essential, try converting them to a different format (e.g., PNG or JPEG) and re-adding them.
    2. Use a Different Printing Method:
      • Try exporting the project to PDF first and then printing from the PDF viewer.
      • This can bypass the OLE activation entirely.

Note: Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know the outcome.

If you have any difficulties when trying these methods or the issue still persists after completing the above, feel free to reach out, and we can further investigate the problem together.

Thanks for your patience and understanding so far.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best Regards,
