(Problem resolved) Exporting emails on web

Question

Help, I am a student about to graduate and my school account will be wiped very soon.

I have a few days before all my emails will be lost. I need to export, download or transfer them to a safe place.

Useful information:

Web version of Microsoft outlook

On Chromebook

Manged by the school

5000+ emails

Please suggest anything that could work.

I have been trying for weeks to figure out what to do, it's a massive headache and nothing has worked.

Can I migrate all my data to a new provider and get them that way? I need these emails and cannot afford to lose them. If you know any other links to similar topics please share them, I will take literally any advice, third part websites, whatever.

Also I tried posting this on my school account but it gave me so many errors messages I couldn't do it and had to use another account as a last resort.

Thank you for reaching out. Regarding the issue of backing up emails from your Microsoft 365 account managed by your school before it is deleted, we would like to suggest the following feasible solutions: 

1. Set up automatic email forwarding to another account: 
   You can configure the email forwarding feature in Outlook Web to automatically send all incoming emails to a safe personal email address. 
   How to do it:

• Log in to Outlook Web.
• Go to Settings > Mail > Forwarding.
• Enter the new email address and enable forwarding.

Please note: School-managed accounts may have restrictions on this feature. If you cannot find this option, please contact your school’s IT department for assistance. 

1. Export email data to a backup file: 
   If you have access rights or can get support from the IT department, you can export all your email data to a .pst file or an equivalent format for external storage. This is the most comprehensive and secure backup method.
