I want to report a text-entry problem using the Microsoft Loop.

The problem is that the text entry position suddenly jumps to the head of sentences while making the sentence, which prevents me from texting smoothly. My language is Japanese, and this does not occur when using English. Moreover, I've completed the Windows updates. I am happy to know how to avoid or solve it when occurs.

    Hello 丸山 太一 ,

Thank you for reporting this issue. I’m sorry to hear you're encountering problems with the cursor unexpectedly jumping to the beginning of sentences while typing in Japanese in Microsoft Loop

Based on your description, this issue with the cursor might be related to the Japanese Input Method Editor (IME) settings or could be a compatibility issue between the application and your system.

Here are a few solutions I recommend trying:

    1. Try Using the Older Version of Microsoft IME

One solution that many users have found helpful is switching to the older version of Microsoft IME. To enable the older version:

Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region

Select Japanese, then click on Language Options

In the Keyboards section, choose Microsoft IME and enable Use the previous version of Microsoft IME

    2. Reset Microsoft IME Settings to Default

If switching to the older version doesn’t work, you can try resetting the Microsoft IME settings to their default configuration:

Right-click the IME icon in the taskbar and select Options

In the General tab, click Restore to reset all settings to their default values.

    3. Try using Microsoft Loop on web

If the issue only occurs in Microsoft Loop, try accessing Microsoft Loop using a different browser like Edge to see if the issue is also happening on browser side.

If these solutions don’t help, you may want to submit feedback directly to Microsoft through the Microsoft Feedback Hub so they can investigate and address the issue in future updates.

I hope this helps you resolve the issue and enables smoother typing! If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to share them with us!

    Best regards,
