Unfortunately, Excel for the Mac does not support Power Pivot / Data Model features. Nothing you can do about that. Get your hands on a PC or run Windows in a virtual machine on your Mac (Bootcamp or Parallels).
Excel on MAC - Data Model features are not supported on this version of Excel.
Hi
I downloaded an Excel file with the sheets - one data, the second one with pivot tables.
The file is editable, and I can add ned values and create new pivot tables, but the existing ones are not editable. When I want to click on any filter in the exciting pivot, I have the following information: Data Model features are not supported on this version of Excel.
I updated my Excel software today, and I have version 16.95.4, and still not working.
Any ideas?

Each worksheet in Excel can hold 1,048,576 rows and 16,384 columns, and you can have an unlimited number of worksheets until you've used up all available memory. If your data set fits onto an Excel worksheet, don't use the Data Model.
Excel's Data Model:
Number of columns 1,999,999,997 Number of rows in a table 1,999,999,997 However, the Data Model is not usable on Mac, but a program called R does work on Mac and is the answer if you need to handle a large data set. When I tried to find out R's maximums, it seems that memory and speed are the practical limitations. That said, R can handle your large data needs on Mac and you can use Excel Power Query on csv text files generated by R.
