    Hi Dorothy123_000,

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

While SharePoint does not natively support automatic extraction of ZIP files, this functionality can be achieved using Power Automate.

With Power Automate, you can build a flow that:

    • Triggers when a ZIP file is uploaded to a SharePoint document library.
    • Uses the “Extract archive to folder” action (available via premium connectors)
    • Automatically saves the extracted contents into a specified SharePoint folder.

This approach is widely used and documented, and it provides a reliable way to automate ZIP file handling within SharePoint environments.

Thank you for your question regarding unzipping files uploaded to SharePoint. Based on the nature of your request, it appears that the solution involves automation using Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow), rather than a feature native to core Office 365 products.

To ensure you receive accurate and expert guidance, we recommend posting your question in the Microsoft Power Platform Community Forum Thread, which specializes in automation workflows and has a highly knowledgeable group of contributors.

We acknowledge that redirecting can be inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. The current forum mainly supports Microsoft 365 topics, and may not have the technical depth needed for Power Automate-specific scenarios. By posting in the recommended community, you'll be more likely to receive timely and targeted support and your query may also help others facing similar challenges.

Apologies for redirecting you to a different community as the members of the posted category focus on users with Microsoft 365 concern and have limited knowledge about Power Automate, so to get a quick and better assistance, we redirect you in the correct way.

I appreciate your patience and understanding, and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,
Kristen - L - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist.
