If the computer was recently upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 the process creates a Windows.old.
This allows the end user to return to Windows 10.
After ten days the Windows.old is scheduled to be deleted.
The deletion can be performed manually as needed to create more drive free space.
There are multiple other files that can be deleted.
There are third party software that can be used to see the files and their sizes.
