SharePoint List Board view - hide entries with dates that have already passed?

We are currently using a SharePoint list as our editorial calendar including a Board view showing communications by author/publisher. I've searched but can't seem to find an answer: I want to hide the entries with dates that have already passed. Entries from April (when we launched the ed cal) are at the top of each bucket, but ideally, I'd like for those to go away automatically (not from the List entirely, just from the Board view) once that date has passed. Is this possible?

    Dear Kate Bowl

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I am happy to assist you.

Regarding your issue, you can hide past-dated entries from your SharePoint list’s Board view without deleting them by using a filtered view based on your date column.

Here are a few steps you can try:

    • Go to your SharePoint list and switch to the Board View
    • In the view settings, scroll down to the Filter section.
    • Set a filter like:
[DateColumn] is greater than or equal to [Today]
(Replace DateColumn with the actual name of your date field.)
    • Save the view.
    • Make sure your Board view uses this filtered view.

This way, any entries with dates before today (e.g., your April items) will automatically be hidden from the Board view but remain in the list.

    Important notes:

    • This method works well for Board viewsCalendar views, and Standard views.
    • If your date column includes time, you may need to adjust for time zone differences or use calculated columns for more precision.
    • If you want to customize which fields show on the Board cards, you can adjust that in the Board view settings.

Please give it a try and update for me to know if it works.

    Best regards,
