Authenticator app not sending code

Hello, I'm writing to ask the question- why is my authenticator app not sending a confirmation code to my email address when trying to add my msft accou t? My school email used to be added, however my main email address had been compromised, so I had to log out of all sessions, change my password, and delete the authenticator app (which I'm planning to use for my microsoft account). The app also contained codes I need to use on a regular basis to gain access to specific apps.     • Try reinstalling the app and resyncing it to refresh authentication.
