We have SharePoint 2016 Farm running on Windows Server 2016 , can we perform an in-place upgrade of Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2019 and SharePoint 2016 Farm still continue to work as expected? What are risks?

    Hi @Ava Tomlinson ,

Microsoft don't recommend users to perform an in-place upgrade of windows server 2016 to 2019 for OS with SharePoint server installed.

We suggest you deploy the farm on Windows Server 2019, and then retire the older SharePoint servers by migration.

For Reference: Upgrade Windows on a server that has SharePoint Server installed
