Need C++/WinRT resource

I have struggled to find good examples for C++/WinRT code. Anyone know of a good website or book that is available? Please don't say MSDN. While there is some examples of C++/WinRT, the vast majority is in the C# variety. While that can provide some answers, my ability to translate from C# to C++ is not that great. I am not an expert in either. Thanks.

There is a series of documents that you could refer to about C++/WinRT. You could find code sample here and UWP official code sample also contains C++/WinRT project type.

Thanks for the info. I find that in the Windows Universal Samples that the link you gave is a part of contains mainly C# and C++/CX code. I have used those example solutions a lot. I will also spend some time looking at the code you referred me to. Any books written for C++/WinRT that you know of? I can only find ones for C# and I need C++. Thanks for you help.

It might not be good practice because most people would just Google for a list of books on my topic which is exactly what I did. There was one BIG problem with all the searches I have made, all the good material, books, etc. come back as UWP C# and not C++/WinRT. Don't get me wrong, I have found quite a lot of C++/WinRT stuff. What I am hoping to get from the experts is a good resource on C++/WinRT. The Microsoft website does provide good resources on C++/WinRT, but they are sometimes written in C# and I struggle to make the conversion to C++/WinRT. Sometimes an explanation is missing on how to use the functions, which is where a good book would help. There are hundred of books on C, C++, C#, .NET, etc., but trying to find a book on C++/WinRT has been a waste of my time because I don't find anything useful. Please do the search and see what I mean. Books in UWP C++/CX or C# do not count.

One more thing, I use forums to ask questions only when I seem to have exhausted all other possibilities, including searching the forum for previous questions. I learn better this way. So just because my question may seem not to be in good practice, I would say that any resource that gets my question answered is good, and I don't think when someone is struggling to find help for what ever reason, it should be denied or castigated. If on the other hand I had asked for a book on MFC programming I would agree 100% with your sentiment because that person never did any searching on his own before he asked the question.
