Hello,
I hope you are well.
I am working on a tabular model deployed on Azure Analysis Service.
My model is based on an on premise SQL server.
When I process the model I get this error message:
Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'An error occurred during On-Premise Gateway related activity. Additional error details: DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_InvalidConnectionCredentials
Received error payload from gateway service with ID 1029517: Async operation e981e77f-5a14-424f-a181-55637c24b2c9 is faulted with [0]Microsoft.PowerBI.DataMovement.Pipeline.Diagnostics.MashupDataAccessCredentialException: Missing or invalid credentials for data source. Reason = '<pi>AccessUnauthorized</pi>', DataSource = '<pi><pi>SQL/xw12lsql0044;FIHI_FOIPMReporting</pi></pi>', DataSourceReference = '', DataSourceOrigin = '', DataSourceReferenceOrigin = ''.
I configured the" Impersonnated mode" property as Impersonnate Service Account.

Can you please check if appropriate service account is selected in "On-premises data gateway" that has permissions to Azure Analysis Services as in below snap.

Hi @HarithaMaddi-MSFT I have the same issue. I tried to give the Gateway Service Account permission to AAS but failed. The error message is below:
The user or application: '<pii>NT Service\xxxx</pii>' was not found in your organization's Azure Active Directory.

Hi anonymous user,
Thanks for sharing the details. By default it always points to "NT Service\xxxx". Please click on "Change Account" in the on-premise gateway as shown in screenshot I have shared and enter the account details that have permissions to your Azure Subscription. Do let us know if this helps.
