A few weeks ago this issue started occurring in Google Chrome
, the Google Chrome window suddenly turned blank and therefore I tried different browsers to find a solution.
Back then I found a thread suggesting to change the compatibility settings, which semi-worked, but Youtube would always crash and give an "aw snap" message.
When installing different browsers to be able to look up my problem, I noticed that a similar thing happened with Opera (Opera also made my taskbar and sometimes the whole desktop act weird and lag / glitch and be blank) and with Microsoft Edge (which was white instead of the usual black).
When these issues occur I often cannot close the application by right-clicking in the taskbar clicking "Quit", but instead have to "end task" in the task manager to close the program.
Now i have been using Firefox for a while and managed to ignore the problem.
However the same issue keeps occurring with other types of software and also installers, with Github both the installer and the app show a black window.
The installer of an E-book reader app called Ridibooks showed the same behavior.
The buttons sometimes still work, so knowing where theyy arre located one could close confirm or cancel things.
I am sorry for explaining this whole situation in layman's terms and in a very visual manner, however I miss the vocabulary and knowledge to explain it in a more technical way.
I have updated Windows several times since, to the latest version and also updated my graphics card driver without observing any change.
