How to uninstall client language packs in Exchange 2019

Jon Wasik 26 Reputation points

I'm trying to determine how to uninstall client language packs in Exchange 2019, but can find no documentation that says how. I find documentation on how to do so in Server 2016 and earlier using the "RemoveUmLanguagePack" flag via setup.exe, but per Microsoft documentation, "These switches aren't available in Exchange 2019." (source website below.) I cannot find anything in the ECP or in the help commands for setup.exe that helps, and google searches continually point me to Exchange 2016 or 2013 pages that say to use the cmdlet noted above. (URL where it states the RemoveUmLanguagePack switch isn't available for Exchange 2019.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ah. ok, the client language packs are installed by default and those cant be removed as far as I know:

I suppose you could delete the language directories from disk, but thats not something I could recommend.

Since UM isnt part of Exch 2019, why do you need to remove the UM language packs?
