Hi, We have Windows 2016 cluster with two VMs located at two different sites). How many heartbeat loss can cause the cluster to failover? (no change on network threshhold) Thank you for your help.

For example setting CrossSubnetDelay to send a heartbeat every 4 seconds and setting the CrossSubnetThreshold to 20 heartbeats missed before taking recovery, means that the cluster can have a total network tolerance of 80 seconds before recovery action is taken.

Still thought about this heartbeat issue.

in this case, which node sent heartbeat? how did they detect loss and failover to Node2 at DR site?

two VMware nodes(one at production site and one at DR site(FSW at DR site)(windows 2012R2 up)
Node1(1NIC ) ----- Node2 (1NIC)+FSW (storage appliance)
Production site ---- DR site
