Dear Jeevan Jean,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A.
I’m sorry to hear about the mix-up with your Lenovo laptop’s region setting. It’s frustrating when things don’t go as planned during setup.
When you first turned on your new Lenovo laptop with Windows 11, you went through the out-of-box experience (OOBE), where you selected "United States" as your region instead of "India." This “setup region” is a one-time configuration that locks in certain system settings, like regional formats, app availability in the Microsoft Store, and other location-based features. Unfortunately, once this choice is made during the OOBE, Windows 11 doesn’t provide a way to change it directly through the Settings app or any other standard option.
To set your region to "India," you’ll need to perform a clean install of Windows 11. This process resets your laptop to its factory state, allowing you to go through the OOBE again and choose the correct region.
To perform a clean install, please refer to this article: Reinstall Windows with the installation media - Microsoft Support
