Hi, Expert,

I have a question with APIPA address.

We have totoal 15 windows server 2016 devices. configurations is same. IP static and autoconfiguration is enabled.

All the device get correct display one IP address as assigned only. Except one device show two IP addresss, One is assigned and another one is 169.254.103.202(Windows assigned).

I take action for this issue.

Ipconfig /all to display data. The ip 169.xxx.xxx is not displayed there. see below:
Ethernet adapter Ethernet:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :

Can you give advice the 169.254.xxx.xxxx conflict to this device, or not? If it does not conflict the AD DC function, Can I leave it alone?

    Hi ,

Please right-click this server and select refresh then check if you still see two IP address.

Did you have two NIC or just one NIC?

If you have any one NIC and you can only see 192.168.21.20 IP address in network connection details, I would think this is just a display issue, you can leave it alone.

If you want to do AD health check, you can use dcdiag command.

For more details about how to use Dcdiag to check Domain Controller Health, you could refer to the following article:
