This issue started once Office 365\Word was updated to 2107, worked OK in 2104.

When we attempt to save any multi-page Word document with embedded links (https:xxxx) as a PDF the first 2 pages are OK with the embedded links, but any page after that the links are not carried over to the PDF file. Converting with Adobe Acrobat works OK, or performing the Save As PDF on a Word 2104 install works OK as well.

    @Corkins, Russell (DTMB)

I installed this Version 2107 (Build 14228.20250) of Office, but I could not reproduce your issue.
As following image shows, the link on the eighth page is OK.

Could you please check which update channel you set for Microsoft 365 apps?
I would suggest you update the Office to the latest version to have a check.

In addition, please hold on Ctrl key, then double-click Word icon on desktop to run Word in safe mode, then open a document, save it as a PDF file.
If issue goes away, you could go to File > Options > Add-ins > Manage COM add-ins, click "Go" > Clear the check boxes for any enabled COM add-ins, select OK.

Any updates, you may let me know.

We experience the same issue on the same build of MS Word.

Workaround: Use the online version of MS Word from www.office.com

    Upload the document to Office.Com
    Save As - PDF

It may look strange after conversion (within Office.Com). However, after you download the document it should look normal.

Issue seems to be with how the links are formatted, and if the document is multiple pages.

Single page document with links is ok. The moment we add an additional page, links break. The additional page can be completely empty.
"Simple" links work, such as https://www.microsoft.com, however a link to a file (like a PDF Manual) are broken.
Links with no text overlay are fine. If you leave the hyperlink as https://www.microsoft.com everything is fine. If you try to display "Microsoft" and then link that to https://www.microsoft.com the link breaks again.

Conversion used to work, now it does not. We tried Save As, Export, and Print to PDF.

Only known solution, as of Sep 2021 is to use Office.Com for conversion.

In the Word section of the Microsoft Community, there are some active threads regarding hyperlink failures in Word. For example, see https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_word-msoffice_ofe-mso_opwin/word-365-save-as-pdf-does-not-convert-hyperlinks/cd27c4d8-b3be-4227-86f2-2e1db7a36caa. The problem is being investigated by Microsoft.
