In sharepoint I'm trying to use power automate to create a flow. I need to set a condition to check if a field is empty. I checked if it's null but it gives non empty field too.

I have set it as:
ExpryDate is equal to null

But it just doesn't work. It doesn't filter out the non empty. Any ideas why?

Hi @user7878 ,

Please check if you set "null" in the condition via Add dynamic content > Expression > Type null in the fx text box > OK.

The condition in UI should be like:

That's what I did but the records still appear. I even re-checked if I'm looking at the right column.

What is the column type of "ExpryDate"? A date and time column or anything else?

It's a date and time type. When I click on it it gives me a calendar to choose the date.

So, in your case, the flow can run successfully but the condition always returns true even if the field is not empty, right?

Yes, I don't know why but it gives me empty and non empty records

Can you please check the following:

There are no default values in the column.

Can you add a compose action prior to the condition and verify it is in fact empty/null.

I was able to fix the problem. Get Items didn't gather all the items, I had to manually add in a limit to get all the items. Then I was able to filter the value for null and that seems to work.
