New emails in inbox list show raw header, not sender's name and subject

Emails in my inbox list don't appear properly as of one or two days ago. Instead of listing the sender name, subject, etc., only the first few lines of the raw message header are shown. In the reading pane, the entire raw message is shown, not the normal message. I didn't make any changes in Outlook options of settings. Any ideas on what causes this, or how to get back to a normal list of emails?

This is a bug in your content scanner - RazorGate-Vadr. It doing something that corrupts the emails for outlook.

I've seen this previously with mcafee and norton's antispam scanners, although not for several years. Use webmail until its fixed. Email is fine on mobile devices too. Outlook is just more temperamental and less forgiving when a message is mailformed.

A number of users are reporting this, myself included. I am not aware of any update from Microsoft on this. Hopefully we hear shortly from them.

Hello Andy. The issue of Outlook displaying the raw email headers rather than the sender's name and subject in the Inbox and Reading Pane has recently impacted a large number of users, as verified on Microsoft Q&A. This is likely due to a rendering bug (as opposed to configuration changes made by the user) or corrupted view settings in Outlook, which users can easily reset. You may try to reset the view settings by going to View > View Settings > Reset View, and then restart Outlook. If that does not help, you can try to open Outlook in Safe Mode (outlook.exe /safe) to see if add-ins are causing it. Then you may try to an Online Repair of Microsoft Office via Control Panel, though it is less likely to resolve a display rendering issue.

Please let me know if you have further questions or this helps.

    Best regards,

BTW, if you are using POP, switch to IMAP. Of the affected users who mentioned the account type, all used POP. One said email worked on his mobile phone, which is usually set up as imap.

Yes, I am seeing this also, with remnants of headers and encoded email text displayed, style definitions, and then also possibly base64encoded attachement.

    This is a POP account.

However, it displays fine on my phone, which is also a POP account. It's using the K9 email client.

I DID have a recent update of my office products in the last week. Version is Office 2022 I believe.
