Good day @Martyn Glanville
Thank you for your update and information.
I apologize for the misunderstanding in my previous response. I’ve revisited the details regarding the Brand Center app, SharePoint site, and the new branding site to ensure everything is clear and to better support you moving forward.
To prevent any potential confusion while navigating the SharePoint site, I’d like to share some clarifying details I’ve identified for you
- SharePoint sites are where teams work together and share content.
- The Brand Center App stores your company’s official logos, colors, and fonts. The
- New Site Branding tool lets you apply those brand assets to your SharePoint site so it looks professional and consistent.
About your concern regarding the experience in Site Branding (new), I have tried to find a related official Microsoft Article:
To understand how each color will be used when creating a theme, follow these steps:
- Go to Site Branding (new) → Theme → New Theme → Add Color.
- Choose a Primary theme color and, if needed, Secondary colors, then click Next.
- During this step, you can switch between background and accent color to see how each will be applied.
- After that, name your theme and click Save.
- Return to your original site, click on Settings, then choose Change your look → Theme
Click on the theme you want to apply and wait 3–5 seconds for it to take effect on your site.
You can try different themes to see which one you prefer.
For more information, I also want to provide you some guidance to design your "new page" color:
- Click "Edit Properties"
- Choose "Design" in the left panel
- Choose the color that you want to set your this section
- You can see my example design for a page
For detailed steps to do with Site Branding, you can click on the above article. I hope it helps you can have better experience on your Branding Site (new)
