How can I know which color will be used where when creating a theme in SharePoint's new Brand Center?

I simply can't figure out the new theme creator in the Brand Center.

There's no guidance on which color will be applied where. This is the best information I get:

And when I apply this, it frequently looks nothing like what I expect.

I understand I am clearly doing something wrong but some detailed help here - with real examples showing how you combine colors - would go along way.

Does anyone have any advice?

    To prevent any potential confusion while navigating the SharePoint site, I’d like to share some clarifying details I’ve identified for you

    • SharePoint sites are where teams work together and share content.
    • The Brand Center App stores your company’s official logos, colors, and fonts. The
    • New Site Branding tool lets you apply those brand assets to your SharePoint site so it looks professional and consistent.

    About your concern regarding the experience in Site Branding (new), I have tried to find a related official Microsoft Article:

    To understand how each color will be used when creating a theme, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Site Branding (new)ThemeNew ThemeAdd Color.

    1. Choose a Primary theme color and, if needed, Secondary colors, then click Next.
    2. During this step, you can switch between background and accent color to see how each will be applied.

    1. After that, name your theme and click Save.
    2. Return to your original site, click on Settings, then choose Change your lookTheme

    Click on the theme you want to apply and wait 3–5 seconds for it to take effect on your site.

    You can try different themes to see which one you prefer.

    • Click "Edit Properties"

    Welcome to Q&A forum!

    I have checked this issue by accessing the Brand Center app link from the Microsoft Admin Center and found that you can change the look of your Brand Center site by following these steps:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Admin Center
    2. Click on SettingsBrand Center
    3. Copy the Brand Center app link and open it in a new tab
    4. On the Brand Center site, click the Settings (gear icon)
    5. Select Site settings
    6. Click on Change the look

    After that, you’ll see a variety of themes that you can apply to your Brand Center site. Simply click on a theme and choose Try it out to preview it.

    (Please note that you need to ask your global admin to do these steps)
