How do I delete the cache in Edge when everything is white and I can't see the three dots, let alone text?

Ok, I've done my research and see that if all I get is a white screen when I open Edge, then the first step is to clear the cache. My problem is, I can't see anything. The entire screen turns white, not just the webpage. Please help!

Thank you for reaching out and sharing the screenshot. I’ll be happy to assist you with this issue.

    Try these steps.

Option 1. Press Windows + R. Paste this and press Enter:

    msedge.exe --disable-extensions --inprivate

This opens Edge with extensions off. If it loads, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete, select Cached images and files, and clear it.

Option 2. Delete the cache manually

    Close Edge.

    Press Windows + R, type:

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Cache

Press Enter, then delete all the files inside the folder.

If none of these work, we can also reset Edge completely, which wipes all settings and cache so it opens clean.

Here's how to reset Microsoft Edge completely.

If you have bookmarks, passwords, or settings you want to keep, make sure they are synced to your Microsoft account first from another device or before the problem started.

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, find Microsoft Edge in the list, right-click it, and choose End task.

    Press Windows + R, type:

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge\User Data

    and press Enter.

Delete the folder named Default, and this removes all cache, extensions, and custom settings.

If the problem is still the same, uninstall Microsoft Edge from Settings > Apps > Installed apps, then download and reinstall it from: https://www.microsoft.com/edge
