Yes granular level scan is available in Purview data map
Register Fabric as a source in Purview
- In Purview Studio > Data Map > Sources > Register > Microsoft Fabric (same tenant).
- Authenticate with the service principal (client ID/secret or Key Vault).
- Create & run the scan
- In Purview Studio > Data Map > your Fabric source > New scan.
Choose scope (all workspaces or selected workspaces).
- Set a schedule if desired.
- Run the scan and watch Monitor
Verify sub-item (table/column) results
After a successful scan, open Unified Catalog and browse your Lakehouse. You should now see tables with columns & data types (sub-item metadata) for Lakehouse tables/files.
Remember: sub-item metadata is preview and limited to Lakehous,sub-item lineage isn’t yet supported.
