Having a Microsoft account that is 18+ and not part of a family group, there are difficulties accessing multiplayer mode in Minecraft. The message received states, "You cannot play multiplayer because your Microsoft account is underage." The region is India, in case the problem or fix is region-specific.

This is a photo of the family group page for reference:

    Hi ,

In this case, you have to access your Microsoft account, go to privacy and see if the options below are active.

Manage multiplayer settings using Xbox Privacy online

    1. Visit Privacy & online safety on the Xbox Settings page.
    2. Sign in using the parent’s Microsoft account.
    3. Click on the tile for the Microsoft account you want to manage.
    4. Select Privacy or Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety to locate specific settings.
    5. Adjust settings as desired.
    6. Click Submit and wait for the page to reload.

Sign out of Minecraft and restart for the new settings to take effect.
